Privacy policy

This sales app is built and operated by Ed Holloway ("we") for Distinctive Outdoor, for its own staff to price quotes, send proposals, prepare purchase orders and record sales in its QuickBooks Online company. It is not offered to the public.
What the app holds
- Staff accounts: name, email and a hashed password.
- Distinctive Outdoor's customers and jobs: names, addresses, emails, phone numbers, quotes, proposals, approvals and purchase orders.
- From QuickBooks Online, once Distinctive Outdoor connects it: the customers, vendors, products and services, accounts and sales tax the app needs to create estimates. The app reads and writes Distinctive Outdoor's own company only.
- Vendor price lists and product photos.
How it is used
Only to run Distinctive Outdoor's sales: building quotes, working out sales tax, sending proposals customers approve, creating estimates in QuickBooks and preparing purchase orders. We do not sell, rent or share this information, and we do not use it for advertising. Customers see only their own proposal, through a private link.
Where it is kept
On a hosted server in the United States, reached only over HTTPS. The QuickBooks connection keys are encrypted in the database. Staff must sign in; customer proposal links carry their own private key.
Service providers
The app runs on a hosting provider and sends email through an email delivery service. Intuit receives what the app writes to QuickBooks. Nothing else leaves the app.
Disconnecting and deleting
Distinctive Outdoor can disconnect QuickBooks at any time, from the app's QuickBooks settings or from QuickBooks itself. Disconnecting stops all access at once. On request from Distinctive Outdoor we delete or return its data.
